Australian calculators
Every tool in this section is built for Australia specifically: metric units, Australian dollars, ATO thresholds, Fair Work entitlements and the Australian Standards that actually apply on site. Where a figure is set by an authority, that authority is named on the page with the date we last checked it.

View sectionHow these calculators handle Australian rates
A calculator that quotes a tax threshold is only as good as the last time somebody checked it. Most do not tell you when that was, which is why so many Australian tools were still returning last financial year's luxury car tax threshold months after it changed.
Every rate-dependent tool here carries a visible "rates last verified" date and a link to the page at the Australian Taxation Office, Revenue NSW, the State Revenue Office of Victoria or the relevant transport department that publishes the figure. If a rate has moved and we have not caught it, the date shows you that before you rely on the number.
Each of those tools also lets you edit the rate yourself. That matters for two cases the fixed version cannot handle: working out a past financial year, and working with a change that has been announced but has not taken effect yet.
What is not in this section
Three electrical calculators that Australian tradespeople search for regularly — maximum demand, current carrying capacity and voltage drop — are deliberately absent. The underlying tables live in AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008, which are paywalled standards, and getting them wrong is a safety problem rather than an inconvenience. A licensed electrician with the current standard in front of them is the right answer there, not a free web tool.
Anything else missing that you would use? Tell us what you searched for and we will look at whether it can be built accurately.
